Nantwich Inner Wheel held 2 spring outings for members , partners and friends.
The first was to Rode Hall to see the magnificent display of many
different varieties of snowdrops.
There was an opportunity to buy unusual species for our own gardens. The cafe was very busy, possibly because the garden had featured on the local TV news the previous evening, but fortunately there was lovely pub nearby where we rounded
off the outing with lunch.
The second visit was to Cholmondeley Castle Gardens mainly to see the
bluebells, but it was full of other interest as well, such as azaleas
and rhododendrons. Some of us us were unable to name some of the
plants but the garden experts in the party filled us in . Again the
visit finished with a lunch at the Castle Cafe much enjoyed by all.
These informal gatherings have been a good way for more recent members
to get to know us all better.
