Who or what are the PDOs you may well ask! District 5 Historian, Betty explains:
We are the Past District Officers. To belong, one has to have been on the District Executive Committee in one of the District 5 officer’s roles.
We meet four times a year for an outing or a lunch. Examples of our outings include a visit to Bury where we had a tour of the Victoria Wood Exhibition followed by an afternoon tea which included a ‘Victoria’ sponge cake. We have fun and fellowship as well as eating lovely lunches in a variety of places.
Each chairman plans her year and so we have a variety of things to do covering the whole district from a snowdrop walk in Biddulph to a visit to Styal Mill.
Here are some of the PDOs, pictured with Association President Enid at the District Rally held on March 3rd.
