Jubilee Tea & Songs at Manchester Club.

The Manchester club held a Jubilee Afternoon Tea on Tuesday, 7th June at the Manchester Hall.

President Vera welcomed members & visitors and lit the friendship candle.

Everyone had made an effort to wear red, white & blue and the room & tables were also decorated with balloons, flags & napkins.

We were served a scrumptious afternoon tea ending with a glass of Prosecco with which to toast Her Majesty.

We were then entertained by Audrey’s friend Sue who gave an interesting talk about her life through song & led us in singing some of her favourite songs. She closed the afternoon by leading the singing of the national anthem.

It was a delightful afternoon although sometimes difficult for President Vera when she was speaking & Sue when she was speaking & singing because of the roadworks outside our windows but they coped with good humour.
