Blankets for Operation Orphan

Updated: Jul 18

Inner Wheel members across District 5 were busy earlier this year knitting squares to make blankets.

Recently, District International Service Officer Pat, along with her husband David, delivered the blankets to Operation Orphan in Nottingham.

The photo below shows some of the blankets that were created from everyones squares.

The blankets were very well received by the charity:

"Your parcel of knitted blankets was incredibly appreciated. We especially love receiving blankets, as these are the most used knitted items within out projects! The items are all absolutely beautiful, and we love the colours that you have used.

We are so grateful for all of the thought, care, time and love that has gone into creating these items.

We are sure that the vulnerable children who receive these items will agree - we will definitely be able to find a good home for them" . Click here for more information about Operation Orphan.
